The promise of asynchronous PHP

Description

picto-en30x30

From ReactPHP to Facebook Hack's Async implementation and many more, asynchronous programming has been a 'hot' topic lately. But how well does async programming support work in PHP and what can you actually use it for in your projects ? Let's look at some real-world use cases and how they leverage the power of async to do things you didn't know PHP could do.

Conférence donnée lors du PHP Tour Luxembourg 2015, ayant eu lieu les 12 et 13 mai 2015.

Commentaires

Probably my favourite talk of the conference. Really enjoyed learning about react and I'm going to have a play with it later.

Before this talk I thought that Async in PHP was complicate and finally... Not !
Thierry, le 13/05/2015
Interesting but I would love to have more real life / production feedbacks.
Matthieu Moquet, le 13/05/2015
Nice talk, but as Matthieu said, real-life / production feedbacks would have been nice.
Benjamin 'Ternel' Clay, le 15/05/2015
I was lukewarm about asynchrounous PHP (I'm also a Node.js developer :p). Yet, your talk showed that it is pretty easy to use it. As some others, some extra feedbacks about its use in production would have been great! And perhaps less slides on Belgium. Except that, one of my favorite talk of these two days. :)
